Akbar was the first of the Mughals to commission persian translations of Sanskrit. This is the Mahabharatais the story of the legendary war between the clans of the Kauravas and the Pandyas. This scene depicted here is the battle of Arjuna and Raja Tamradhvaia. the painting cycle in Abd al-Rahim's book is the same as in Akbar's and th elarge blocks of text that form part of the picture frame reflect the practice of the imperial atelier at that time.

Society The Mughal society wasn't that much strict. The leader of the Mughal empire in India was Akbar. He encouraged arts, poets, and let people follow their religions. He ended unfair taxes that had been required of non muslims. Their government was strong and he gave government jobs to qualified people whatever their religion or caste. Hindus served as generals, governors, administrators, and clerks. These policies helped hindus and muslims live together peacefully.

Current events India is a country on the go at any given moment in time, there is much happening in the fields of politics and governance, of finance, of development; there is constant churning in society, considerable activity in sports and in the arts... It's almost too much to keep track of. And hence, this effort: a real-time, constantly updated look at the events that matter.
